Learning the Basics CorelDraw Part 5 – In this tutorial I will discuss transformations and transform shapes.

TRANSFORMATION

The transformation of an image object is a common activity and is often done in CorelDraw. You can transform this shape directly with the mouse. via the mouse, the transformation process can be done quickly and easily.

SCALE

This transformation process serves to change the length, width, or scale of the image object. In addition, this transformation process can also be used to create a mirror. The scale itself is divided into horizontal, vertical, and diagonal scales.

  1. HORIZONTAL SCALE
    Its purpose is to change the width of an object horizontally. By placing the cursor on one of the horizontal control buttons, then clicking and dragging to a certain point. As a result, the object will change its size and width.

  2. VERTICAL SCALE
    Its purpose is to change the width of an object horizontally. By placing the cursor on one of the vertical control buttons, then click and drag to a certain point. As a result, the object will change its size and width.

  3. DIAGONAL SCALE
    Function To change the size of the object diagonally. You do this by placing the cursor on one of the diagonal control buttons. Then click and drag to a certain point.

SKEW/ROTATE

Skew Transform Function to change the shape of the image object by pulling the sides or corners. This transformation process can be done by using the pick tool. When you first activate an object by clicking on it, a scale control button will appear and if you click on the object again it will display control buttons to change the size and shape.

To do a horizontal skew, the steps are as follows:

  • Double click on the object.
  • Place the cursor on one of the horizontal skew buttons.
  • Click do not release, then drag to a point horizontally and then release.
  • As a result, the square has changed its shape.

To do a vertical skew, the steps are as follows:

  • Double click on the object.
  • Place the cursor on one of the vertical skew buttons
  • Click do not release, then drag to a point vertically and then release.
  • As a result, the square has changed its shape.

ROTATE/DIAGONAL SKEW

Rotate serves to change the shape of the image object diagonally. the following ways:

  • double click on the object.
  • Place the cursor on one of the vertical skew buttons.
  • click do not release, then drag to a point in a rotating way and then release.
  • As a result, the square has changed its shape.

Especially for this rotation, you put anywhere the axis of rotation. And the results will be variant every time you change the position of the axis of rotation.
